Black Feather Horse Rescue

Murphy's New Home

Never underestimate the power of love

Our local Plymouth non-profit organization, Black Feather Horse Rescue (BFHR), continues its wonderful work helping abused and neglected horses. It aims to give them a loving and healing home, earn their trust, care for their needs, and find them a new home when possible. BFHR has published a beautifully illustrated children's book in hopes of helping one particular rescue horse, Murphy's Law, survive.

Murphy contracted an infection in his guttural pouch at three years old. While most horses don't survive the disease as they're unable to swallow, Murphy survived on tube-feeding six times a day. After nine months of being at the rescue, Murphy began to swallow again and can now eat 100% of his food on his own each day! BFHR hopes that soon he will be able to drink on his own as well - he's certainly the rescue's miracle horse! Learn about and share this children's book based on Murphy's true story and the power of love!

Each copy is signed by all three of the authors and 100% of all profits go directly to the rescue's needy horses!

BFHR also welcomes any visitors to its Plymouth rescue. To continue the circle of love, sharing, and giving, the rescue invites sick and special needs children and their families to enjoy their horses and their woodlands of pine trees and trout streams. They also bring their mini horses on visits to the elderly. More information is available on their website: www.blackfeatherhorserescue.org.
