Artist: Patience Brewster

With a name that once belonged to the only daughter of Elder William Brewster, the spiritual leader of the Mayflower and her eleventh great-grandfather, Patience Brewster was born and raised with her brother and four sisters in the Painted Lady's hometown of Plymouth! As a child, she was humbled by the story of outcast pilgrims making a treacherous journey toward freedom without promise. As her first job, Patience dressed in a pilgrim's outfit and taught tourists how to weave flax into cloth at Plymouth's Harlow House. Drawing pictures in her free time, she eventually attended Philadelphia College of Art. Now, living in Skaneateles, New York, with her family, she is working on books, greeting cards, Christmas ornaments, and paintings for gallery exhibits. Her creative and often hilarious characters decorate jeweled boxes, towels, pillows, ornaments, and many other items in the artist's Krinkles™ collection formerly distributed by Department 56.  Now Patience has struck out on her own and as you would expect, has created some wonderful new pieces distributed under her own name.
